Processing: onset trim, mono conversion, peak balancing, high-pass filtering,
short fades and MP3 encoding. Reload split into four mechanical events.
Runtime: variant selection, slight pitch variation, camera-relative stereo,
distance attenuation/filtering and contacts derived from the imported animations.

background.mp3 was supplied by the game owner and is unrelated to the above library assets.

## Weapon group 1 — 2026-09-19

Shotgun is a break-action sound design: latch click, ejection, shell insertion,
closing latch. No pump cycle is played after shooting. Rifle uses the documented
30-06 bolt and loading takes. NPC AI has no magazine-reload state; NPC rifle bolt
cycles follow successful shots and are cancelled on actor death. Player reloads
use the game's existing two-second interval. No hand/bone animations were added.

2026-09-19 revision: removed revolver-2 from the game. Shotgun and sniper firing recordings exchanged at runtime; historical filenames retained. Reloads and mechanical sounds remain assigned to their original weapon types.
